1. Purpose
SOME BAKERS exists to help people discover and order meaningful bakes from real home bakers nearby. These Standards are designed to support trust, safety, clarity, and a respectful community.
2. What Bakers Can List
- Bakers may list homemade baked goods and closely related approved bakery products that are lawful to sell and consistent with the platform's standards.
- Products must be genuinely prepared by the Baker and accurately described.
3. What Bakers Must Not List
Bakers must not list, advertise, or sell:
- products not made by them;
- resold or third-party commercial bakery products presented as homemade;
- unsafe, spoiled, contaminated, or adulterated food;
- products with false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims;
- products that are prohibited by law; or
- products that SOME BAKERS has restricted or prohibited for safety, legal, or policy reasons.
4. Listing Quality Rules
Each listing must include clear and accurate information, including where relevant:
- product name and description;
- ingredients and allergen information;
- price, quantity, size, or weight;
- lead time and availability window;
- collection or delivery method; and
- storage guidance where relevant.
Photos must fairly represent the actual product. Do not use misleading edits, unrelated images, or stock photos to represent your products.
5. Ingredients and Allergen Rules
- Ingredient and allergen information must be truthful, clear, and current.
- If your kitchen handles ingredients known to cause hypersensitivity, you must disclose material cross-contact risk.
- Do not mark a product as suitable for a dietary preference unless you have a reasonable basis to do so and the description is not misleading.
6. Freshness and Batch Rules
- Products must be sold in a condition fit for consumption.
- If a product is not freshly made for the relevant order window, or if it comes from an earlier batch, that must be clearly disclosed where relevant to customer expectations.
- Do not describe a product as freshly baked, made to order, or baked today unless that is true.
7. Pricing and Availability Rules
- Prices must be clear and not misleading.
- If there are minimum quantities, lead times, pickup windows, or special conditions, these must be clearly disclosed before the customer places an order.
- Do not accept orders you do not intend or are not able to fulfil.
8. Pickup and Address Privacy
- Bakers should display neighbourhood-level location information publicly unless a more precise location is reasonably necessary.
- Exact home addresses or detailed collection instructions should only be shared after an order is confirmed and only to the extent reasonably necessary for fulfilment.
9. Trust Signals and Badges
- Do not misuse trust signals, profile markers, or badges.
- You must not imply that SOME BAKERS has inspected, licensed, certified, guaranteed, or approved your kitchen or products unless the platform has expressly granted such wording in writing.
10. Reviews and Community Conduct
Users must treat each other with respect. Do not:
- post false or retaliatory reviews;
- harass or threaten other users;
- shame or defame Bakers, customers, or platform staff;
- manipulate ratings or feedback; or
- submit fraudulent complaints or claims.
Reviews should be honest, relevant, and based on real experiences.
11. Off-Platform Conduct
- Do not misuse personal data, home addresses, or contact details obtained through the platform.
- Do not use SOME BAKERS to divert users into unsafe, fraudulent, or misleading off-platform conduct.
12. Enforcement
SOME BAKERS may remove listings, restrict visibility, suspend features, hold payouts, hide reviews, or suspend or remove accounts where these Standards are breached or where action is reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, platform integrity, or community protection.
13. Changes
We may update these Standards from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Standards.
